The Relationship Between the Knowledge and the Attitude of the Head of the Room and the Team Leader in Implementing Conflict Management at Sawerigading Hospital Palopo City in 2023

Abstract

Conflict management is the steps taken by actors or third parties in order to direct a dispute towards a certain outcome which may or may not result in an end in the form of conflict resolution and may or may not result in calm, positive, creative, consensual or aggressive results. This research will be carried out at the Sawerigading Hospital, Palopo City in 2023. The method used in this research is a cross-sectional approach, which aims to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of room heads and team leaders in implementing conflict management at the Sawerigading Regional Hospital, Palopo City. The sample in this study was 38 respondents. The sampling technique in this research is Non-Probability Sampling using a Purposive Sampling approach technique. The results of this research obtained a Chi Square test of p = 0,000 which shows that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge of the head of the room and the team leader in implementing conflict management. As well as the results of the Chi Square test p = 0,094 which showa that there is no relationship between the attitude of the head of the room and the team leader in implementing conflict management. It is hoped that hospital management will evaluate the implementation of conflict management by room heads and team leaders so that the goals and benefits of implementing conflict management can be achieved as expected.
