Abstract

Stimulation is stimulation that comes from the environment outside the individual child. Gross motor skills such as walking, running, jumping and throwing can be stimulated or stimulated by giving children the opportunity to play games that do agility and agility. This research was conducted in Lamasi Health Center in 2019. The type of research used was descriptive with Cross Sectional Sutdy approach, with the aim to determine the relationship of knowledge and attitudes of mothers about developmental stimulation of gross motoric development in children aged 3-5 years. The sample in this study were mothers who had children in the Lamasi Community Health Center as respondents with a Total Sampling method with a sample of 43 samples. The results of this study found that there was a relationship between knowledge of the gross motoric development of children aged 3-5 years with a value of P = 0,000 <0,05. relationship between maternal attitudes about developmental stimulation toward gross motoric development in children aged 3-5 years with a P value of 0,000 <0,05. It is expected that the Puskesmas will improve the quality of the workforce in general and the nurses in particular in providing health education to the public about gross motor development
