Abstract

This riset discusses the number of needs and qualifications of doctors and nurses in the inpatient service of mega buana hospital in 2024. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using observational techniques. The population in this study were all doctors and nurses who served at Mega Buana Hospital. The sample in this study were all doctors and nurses who served in the inpatient service unit of Mega Buana Hospital. In this study the sample was taken using purposive sampling method. The Work Sampling method is used to determine the pattern of use of working time and the Workload Indicator Staff Need (WISN) is used to calculate the staffing needs of doctors and nurses. The results showed that the current number of nurses in the inpatient services of the 4th floor, 3rd floor, 2nd floor and pediatric care was insufficient or in other words still lacking with the WISN ratio of the 4th floor of 0.8; 3rd floor of 0.9; 2nd floor of 0.5 and pediatric care of 0.7. Meanwhile, the number of ICU doctors and nurses is more sufficient or greater with a WISN ratio of 1.63 and 2,44
