Analysis of factors related to compliance in consumption of blood enhancer tablets in female adolescents at sman. 06 pangkep, liukang tangaya district, pangkep regency 2024

Abstract

Based on the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) data, the prevalence of anemia in adolescents was 32 percent, meaning that 3-4 out of 10 adolescents suffer from anemia. One of the health problems that the government focuses on is overcoming anemia in adolescent girls. The high cases of anemia are closely related to adolescent compliance in consuming Iron Tablets (Fe), where 8.3 million out of 12.1 million of our female adolescent friends do not consume Iron Tablets (Fe) which puts them at risk of anemia. In 2023, 80.4% of adolescents consumed iron tablets (Profile of the Pangkep Regency Health Office), while data on consuming iron tablets at the Liukang Tangaya Health Center, Pangkep Regency in 2023 showed that 58.7% of female adolescents consumed iron tablets. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between compliance in consuming iron tablets in adolescents with knowledge and attitudes at SMAN 06 Pangkep, Liukang Tangaya District, Pangkep Regency. Pangkep in 2024. The type of research is Analytical Survey with a Cross Sectional design and Data Analysis is Univariate and Bivariate. The results of the study show that there is a relationship between compliance with the consumption of iron tablets in female adolescents at SMAN 06 Pangkep with knowledge (p-value is 0.002) and Attitude (p-value is 0.003. It is hoped that all elements of the school and health workers will be more active in providing counseling to female students to comply with the consumption of iron tablets in female adolescents
