FACTOR RELATED TO OCCURRENCE OF ANEMIA AT PREGNANT MOTHER IN PUSKESMAS WARA SELATAN KOTA PALOPO

Anaemia is a condition that occurs when the number of red blood cells (erythrocytes) or the amount of hemoglobin found in the red blood cells drops below normal. Anaemia can cause decreased labor productivity, low birth weight infants, premature births, complicate labor and even result in perinatal death and maternal mortality.
This research was conducted at Work Area of ??Wara Selatan Public Health Center of Palopo City. The research type used is Descriptive Quantitative with cross sectional study approach with aim to know relation of education, age, occupation, and distance of pregnancy. The samples of this research is pregnant mother with sampling in total sampling with amount of 30 samples.
The result of the research showed that there was no correlation between education with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women with p value (0,794)> 0,05, there was age correlation with incidence of anemia in pregnant mother with p value (0.000) <0,05, no relation of work with incidence of anemia in mother pregnancy with p value (0,784)> 0,05, there is correlation of pregnancy distance with incidence of anemia in pregnant mother with p value (0.000) <0,05. Based on the results of the study suggested that couples of childbearing age pregnant checks her pregnancy regularly and follow the family planning program and expected the next researcher continue the research with different variabel.
