FACTORS INFLUENCING PAP SMEAR EXAMINATION IN PAJALESANG SUB-DISTRICT,WARA SUB-DISTRICT, PALOPO CITY

Abstract

Pap smear is one of the early detection of servical cancer which principally takes the epithelial cells in the cervix which are then seen for normality.

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the pap smear examination on women ofchildbearing age.The method used is a cros sectional approach design which aims to determine the determine the relationship between knowledge,attitudes and husband support for pap smear examination. Sampling was done by puposive sampling Univariate and Bivariate data analysis using chy-square with significance level of ? = 0,005

Analysis of the data using the chy-square test with a signifance level of  ? = 0,05. The results of the analysis of responden data with the chy-square test found that there was a relationship between knowledge and pap smear examination with p = 0,035 < ? = 0,05. There is relationship between attitude with pap smear examination with p= 0,012 < ? = 0,05.And there is a relationhip between husband support with pap smear examination with p = 0,004  < ? = 0,05.

It is recommended for women of childbearing age to pay attention to the factors that affect the pap smear examination so that it is considered sufficient to see factors that affect the pap smear examination so that it is considered sufficient to see the factors that affect the pap smear examination
