The age of acceptors for the reproductively safe category, namely 20-35 years, was 59 people (95.2%), for the high risk category <20 years there were 2 people (3.2%) and one person >35 years (1.6%). ). The conclusion based on the results of statistical tests using the chi-square test proved that the use of Depo medroxyprogesterone acetate had a significant effect on increasing body weight of family planning acceptors with p.value (0.000<?=0.05), while age (p. value=1,000> ) = 0.05) had no effect on weight gain after using the contraceptive. It is suggested the need for education for prospective acceptors and acceptors about the effects of using contraceptives, especially Depo medroxyprogesterone acetate by health workers and controlling body weight every month regardless of age and learning to regulate eating patterns so that weight can be controlled.
