ABSTRACT
Exclusive breastfeeding is breastfeeding only to infants until the age of 6 months without additional fluids or other foods. Breast milk, apart from being a source of nutrition, can provide protection to babies through the various components of the immune substances it contains. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and immunity in infants at the Wara Health Center, Palopo City in 2020. The data used in this study were data obtained using a questionnaire with a sample of 31 respondents. The research design used in this research is descriptive analytic. Based on the results of the study, the value of p = 0.002 means 0.05, which means that there is a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and immunity in infants.
It is suggested to the Health Center that it is necessary to hold continuous counseling about the importance of breastfeeding for immunity in infants
