Relationship between Knowledge Level and Healthy Life Quality for Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at Larompong Community Health Center, Larompong District, Luwu District 2022

Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 is Diabetes Mellitus which is mild enough that it is rarely detected. Type 2 DM attacks many people aged 40 years and over. People who have a family history of diabetes mellitus have a high risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. This type of diabetes mostly occurs due to excess body weight or obesity, which causes a reduction in the work of the hormone insulin in controlling blood sugar in the body.
The study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of diabetes sufferers and the quality of life of people with type 2 diabetes at Larompong Public Health Center, Larompong District, 2022. he type of research is observational research that uses analytic quantitative research methods with approached cross-sectional. Research sample of 81 people were obtained using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection by angkets and interview using a questionnaire’s instrument Based on the statistical test, the results of the research conducted showed that there was no significant influence between the level of knowledge on the quality of life of patients with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) at Larompong Health Center, Larompong District, Luwu Regency. This is evidenced by the results of the Chi-Square test with the help of the SPSS program, the p value is 0.837 > 0.05 so that Ho is accepted while Ha is rejected, meaning that there is no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and quality of life of patients with Diabetes Mellitus at Larompong Community Health Center, Larompong District. Luwu District.
