Corona virus or severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV-2) is a virus that attacks the respiratory system. The disease caused by this viral infection is called Covid 19. Based on the results of a brief interview with one of the health workers of the West Malangke Health Center, Pao Village was the first village to have Covid-19 cases, precisely in August 2020 it was determined that the patient was detected from the PCR results, until the There are currently 19 confirmed cases of Covid-19. This type of research is a descriptive research with a survey approach. This study aims to obtain an overview of public knowledge about Covid-19 in Pao Village, West Malangke District, North Luwu Regency. The population in this study was the entire community of Pao Village, West Malangke District, North Luwu Regency, amounting to 2,639 people. The sample of this study was obtained using a purposive random sampling technique as many as 100 people. The data in this study were collected through questionnaires and then processed in the form of categories, namely good, moderate and poor. The results obtained in this study indicate that the community's knowledge is 20% in the good category, 36% in the medium category, and 44% in the poor category. This is due to a lack of public knowledge and understanding of the dangers of the Covid-19 virus, and the level of public awareness that is lacking in complying with health protocols, not using masks when doing activities outside the home, not keeping a distance when in public places, and making physical contact.
