FORMULATION OF CHICKEN EGG SHEEL (Gallus gallus) POWDER PEEL-OFF MASK FOR TIGHTEN FACIAL SKIN

Abstract

Chicken egg shell (Gallus gallus) is the skin part of the egg that serves to protect the inside of the egg to  avoid external disturbances, contained about 10% collagen that serves to tighten the skin. Based on the compound  owned, chicken egg shell breed (Gallus gallus) can be used as a preparation peel-off mask. So this study aims to  formulate chicken egg shell powder breed (Gallus gallus) into the preparation form of peel-off mask.  

This study used experimental methods to make a peel-off mask preparation formula from chicken egg  shell powder breed (Gallus gallus) with concentration variations including 10%, 15%, and 30%. With the  parameters of the evaluation test of mask preparations which include organoleptic tests observed odors, shapes,  and colors of preparations as well as homogeneity tests and pH tests.  

The results of this study showed that peel-off mask dosage formulations have a stable odor, shape, and  color of preparations. All three preparation formulas do not have clots so preparations can be said to be  homogeneous. However, the pH value of the preparations made ranged from 6.7-7.1 so the formula did not meet  the requirements because the preparation was alkaline which could make the skin dry or scaly. It can be said that  broiler egg shell powder (Gallus gallus) can be formulated as a peel-off mask but has not met the requirements.
